December was a quiet month with two declarations and four alerts. However, looking back over 2016, we experienced a busy year of recovery activity, having supported over 100 declarations and 434 alerts. Agility’s Member Services and Operations Teams supported these major events during the year: Winter Storm Jonas, Hurricane Hermine and Hurricane Matthew. The majority of the other declares supported were isolated events, including internet outages and power outages, and other business continuity/disaster recovery events such as fires, floods, denied access and asbestos.
Here is a brief summary of the recoveries that took place during December:
Logistics Company – Washington
This logistics company moved offices and had no connectivity at their new locations. After calling Agility for assistance, the next day Agility provided the customer with a network solution using a router and LTE devices to restore internet connectivity.
Manufacturing Company – New Jersey
During an emergency product training, this manufacturing company called Agility to declare a disaster. The customer had an immediate need for extra laptops for the additional staff, but unfortunately did not have access to enough. Agility was able to quickly deliver the technology and the customer was able to continue on with their training.
Agility Recovery is also currently supporting six other ongoing recoveries, including:
- Four for mobile recovery (ranging from three months to three years)
- One for networking
- One for washroom facility
As always, we commend our recovery teams for their excellent work in diligently protecting the Agility
